CIRCLES
What are Circles?
KKBE Circles: Open to members. Coordinated by congregants. Find your people!
Imagine congregants gathering regularly in small groups to learn and laugh, to rest and rejuvenate, and to deepen connections to one another, to KKBE, to the Charleston community, and to the rhythms of Jewish time and life. Circles are already helping us realize this future of a connected, committed membership through the formation of small groups of individuals, couples, and families that help make our big community feel small.
Launched in May 2022, Circles are regular gatherings of five to fifteen congregants online, in people’s homes, offices, or anywhere around the greater Charleston area, designed with the goal of relationship building. Some Circles can connect around common interests, affinities, geography, demographics, or professions. Other Circles may gather to discuss topics of deep concern or importance to their lives. Belonging to Circles encourages us all to:
- Meet new friends and have fun.
- Try new experiences that can open our hearts and minds to new ideas.
- Invest time and energy to connect more deeply to one another and to our KKBE community.
- Relate the wisdom of Jewish tradition and values to our everyday lives.
- Be a part of something that encourages personal growth.
Participation in KKBE Circles is a benefit of KKBE Membership. To learn more about KKBE, Membership, and our Engagement efforts, please contact Mark Swick at director@kkbe.org.
