Welcome to KKBE!
Rooted deeply. Growing wisely. Cultivating community.
Founded in 1749, KKBE is one of the oldest congregations in America, and is known as the birthplace of American Reform Judaism. Our sanctuary is the oldest in continuous use for Jewish worship in America, but Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim (KKBE) is more than just a house of worship. We are a vibrant, inclusive and caring congregational family.
Upcoming Events
The Gershwins (Ira and George) and Lerner & Loewe! Bernstein and Copland! Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, also! (With many more!) Revel in the best of the American Songbook presenting the works of Jewish composers and lyricists. Yuriy Bekker and his friends at the CSO, vocalists Mary Ott and KKBE’s Bates O’Neal, Laura Owens and George Slotin, along with a jazz combo, are the all-star line-up at an evening cabaret featuring drinks, dancing and a dinner buffet. And with a silent auction as well who could ask for anything more? This pairing with the CSO is part of the continuing celebration of KKBE’s 275th anniversary. A full list of events is on our website.
