SHABBAT
Come join the KKBE family as we worship together! Most Friday evening Shabbat services begin at 7:00 pm. On the first Friday of each month, we hold our First Friday Shabbat services geared toward families at 5:30 pm, followed by a Congregational Dinner at 6:30 pm (reservations required). Several times throughout the year, we hold a very musical, shorter, and informal Kabbalat Shabbat at 6:00 pm, preceded by appetizers in our courtyard.
Shabbat Services
Our Saturday Shabbat Morning service starts at 10:00 am. We also hold a monthly Tot Shabbat for families with children under 6 years old at 10:00 am in the Freudenberg Board Room.
For Shabbat worship services only, free 2-hour parking is available at the Charleston Place parking garage, 85 Hasell Street. Bring your parking ticket to the main lobby, where Ushers will help to affix a validation sticker with bar code.
Congregants and friends of our congregation are welcome to sponsor bimah flowers, the Shabbat evening oneg or a Shabbat morning kiddush lunch to commemorate a special event or person. To do so, please contact the KKBE Office at 843-723-1090.
PLEASE NOTE: Service times are subject to change.
Family Services
Come worship with us – and bring the whole family! Children are encouraged to attend all of our worship services. We especially encourage our youngest worshippers to join us on the First Friday of each month when the service begins a little earlier, at 5:30 pm, features Visual T’filah, with music that engages congregants of all ages. First Friday Shabbat evening services are followed by a Congregational Dinner at 6:30 pm.

Shabbat Around Town – Services in the Community
Periodically we leave our historic sanctuary and hold Shabbat Services out and about in the community. We have dipped our toes in the water on the Isle of Palms and Folly Beach, enjoyed Summerville’s Sweet Tea hospitality, and continue to host Shabbat Around Town Services in a number of geographically diverse areas throughout the year.
